GAIA is a moving and poignant film.  Beautifully shot and well-acted. This

In my mind what makes Gaia truly great is the visual splendor of the film and the poetry of its storytelling. I was weeping at several occasions in the story – and left the theatre feeling I had been transformed along with the main character. FULL TEXT

GAIA is one of the most powerfully moving films I've ever experienced. It’s an honest and painful journey that artfully articulates the human spirits ability to overcome. Jason Lehel has crafted an emotional experience that most films aspire to achieve and yet very rarely accomplish. After the screening I excused myself from the theatre to sit alone for a few minutes to fully digest the magnitude of the film.

I really appreciated Gaia as a piece of art. I've never experienced a film where so few words are spoken yet is so brutally honest.  It drives home the importance of family, community and the richness of cultures despite the stark realities of the struggling poor.  The setting is intensely real and the characters are pure.  I was mesmerized.
